Product Features and Details
From 1899 onwards, the K.P.E.V. acquired freight train luggage cars with a closed entrance instead of the previous open platform. Unlike the later DRG, which specified green livery for all luggage cars, in Prussia the vehicles were painted with the red-brown of the freight cars. Luggage cars were allocated to a permanent home station and from there to a defined route, which was also written on the outside of the vehicle. It was always coupled behind the locomotive in the train. The reason for this was the connection of a line to the whistle of the locomotive, which was used for communication between the personnel.
