Product Features and Details
The Königlich Preußische Eisenbahn Verwaltungen K.P.E.V. converted the standard 1883 cars into freight train luggage cars according to its own design specifications. The Prussian luggage cars for freight trains had a raised service compartment at the end which could be accessed from an open end platform. It adjoined the toilet and service room. There was such a high demand for luggage cars in those days that every freight train had one. These luggage cars weren't just operated in Prussia, but also in neighbouring countries.
