Product Features and Details
From 1898 onwards, the Württemberg State Railway purchased new rail post cars for the heavy rail post traffic on the Stuttgart-Frankfurt route. For financial reasons, the two-axle coach design was retained. The construction proved itself, so that up to 1913 a total of 36 coaches were purchased in mixed wood/steel design. In the field of use which led to their construction, they were unfortunately only temporarily in service after the KPEV prohibited the use of two-axle coaches for express trains on its routes in 1898. Therefore the coaches were mainly used in long passenger train routes within Württemberg.
