Also inside the vehicle many components have been simplified and standardized in order to respond more flexibly to customer requirements and simultaneously reduce their production costs. As a result, z. B. has shortened the time for the final assembly of a Traxx locomotive on less than two weeks. In order to distinguish them also to the operating point, the locomotives at DB AG are labeled with the sub-series 185.2 and 146.2 to 146.5. Bombardier has now produced over 1,500 locomotives of the highly successful TRAXX family of products worldwide.
