In order to cope with the interfactory traffic between Dillingen, Burbach, Völklingen and Neunkirchen, Saarstahl AG established its own railway company, Saar Rail. Following a brief trial, a decision was made to purchase two Gravita 10 BB vehicles. These locomotives have been in use since September 2011.
