In 2007, the German-Polish railway company EastWestRail with its headquarters in Wroclaw/Poland was founded as a subsidiary of Railion Deutschland AG and the Polish PCC Rail SA. This company, mainly involved in freight transport, has since used locomotives of Class 232 from the former stock of the DB AG, which have been given new, conspicuous -livery.
