Product Features and Details
Different track widths make the transport from Russia to the rest of Europe very difficult.
Track change wheel-sets were developed very early on to enable unrestricted transport of goods in one car. The tankcar of the Soviet Railway was used to carry and deliver mineral resources, especially oil products and gases, to the rest of Europe. A special coupling car for the European network was required for the middle coupling which was common for the countries of the former Soviet Union. This special coupling car had a middle coupling at one end and the European screw coupling with side buffers at the other end.
