Secondary vehicles are frequently less affected by changes in colour schemes, they travel through the country for a long time in their old paint-work. One exception is the platelayer's wagon
"Hercules". This vehicle from the 60s was painted according to the very latest DB AG directives. The platelayer's wagon is in service when digging ditches next to the line, during track laying and maintenance work, and when defrosting iced points. Its output of 118 kW even allows it to
pull a goods wagon.
